Legacy & Impact: Union Celebrates 400 years of the King James Bible

In the coming months Union will be preparing for a celebration, hosted by the Ryan Center, commemorating  400 years of The King James Bible. Professor Ray Van Neste and Brian Denker will be preparing for a conference in September to celebrate 400 years of The King James Bible. Over the course of the last year the library has been collecting materials on the KJV in preparation for this celebration.

So a few weeks ago, at the ATLA conference,  I attended a paper, "Celebrating 400 years of The King James Version." This paper was given by a librarian from Seminary of the South West in Austin, Texas and a librarian from Oxford was in attendance. At the paper I was given a bibliography of web and print resources and gave me the idea to create research guide putting King James Version resources all in one place. I used mainly the sources from the paper and those that Dr. Van Neste has provided. Find access to all of the KJV resources on this new research guide.
