Gavin Richardson: Faculty Member of the Year

In this new episode of the Podcast Gavin Richardson discusses what it feels like to be Faculty Member of the Year. He talks about what it could be about his teaching and University service that has caused students and faculty to acknowledge him for this prestigious award. Dr. Richardson also discusses  his interests in literature from a young age, his undergraduate years at Vanderbilt, a study in the UK where he met his wife, graduate work at the University of Illinois as well as time in Chicago. He talks about teaching The Koran as literature at a Christian University. Gavin Richardson also cited the Lord's prayer in Old English, Norse Icelandic and Latin but we could not get him to give us an Elvis impersonation. It was nice getting to know Dr. Richardson, one of Union's most treasured faculty.
