RefWorks Workshops

Through the library budget we have recently acquired a valuable, web-based, tool for Union's students and faculty that can be used to store all of your citations and automatically create bibliographies. It is called Refworks. You can export all of the citations from the articles and books you read from Google Scholar and almost all of our scholarly databases directly into your personal Refworks database. It will then automatically generate a bibliography for you. You can also use the "Ref Grab It" tool to import citation information from web resources like a Blog Post or use the Write N Cite function to insert in-text citations into a word document as you are composing. What is really great is that all you have to do is set up a personal account when you are on campus and that account will never go away even after you graduate or leave Union. We will be hold workshops on how to use Refworks in the PAC computer lab C-2 on Wednesday, February 16 at 3 pm, Thursday the 17th at 4pm and that Friday the 18th at 10am. These workshops are meant simply to walk faculty members through the basics of setting up a Refworks account and importing citations. To sign up for these workshops just email Lori Haney. If you can't make it to one of these workshops then don't hesitate to contact your librarian or schedule a Research Coach and we will be happy to help you with Refworks.
